Governor AbdulRazaq Observes Iftar with Kwarans in Saudi Arabia

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has observed Iftar (breaking of fast) with Kwarans currently performing the Lesser Hajj in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing his close ties with the people of the state.

In a statement released in Ilorin on Tuesday, the governor said the gathering was attended by state and federal lawmakers, cabinet members, and other dignitaries from Kwara.

“Tonight in Saudi Arabia, I was joined at an Iftar by some fellow Kwarans who are performing the Lesser Hajj. It was attended by state and federal lawmakers, cabinet members, and other dignitaries, including House of Representatives members Hon. Raheem Olawuyi Ajuloopin (Ekiti/Irepodun/Oke-Ero Federal Constituency) and Hon. Mukhtar Tolani Shagaya (Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency); Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi; Senior Adviser and Counsellor Alhaji Saadu Salau; Commissioner for Works Engr. AbdulQuawiy Olododo; former Minister Jamila Bio; Ambassador Yahya Seriki; and former House of Representatives candidate Abdulsalam Abdulkadir,” the statement read.

The governor emphasized the significance of the holy month and extended prayers for the state and the country.

“We pray that Allah accepts our Ibaadah and prayers for our state, Kwara, and our country, Nigeria. We also ask Allah to bless us with the Night of Majesty (Laylatul-Qadr),” he added.

The Iftar gathering highlighted the governor’s commitment to engaging with citizens beyond the borders of the state, fostering unity, and promoting the values of faith and community.
