Governor AbdulRazaq Mourns Chief Wole Oke, Describes Him as a Great Statesman

Kwara Governor Pays Tribute to Late APC Leader and Former Lawmaker

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Wole Oke, a prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, former Second Republic lawmaker, and respected progressive politician.

Chief Oke, the Jagunmolu of Shao, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated public service and unwavering commitment to the development of his community and the state.

In his condolence message, Governor AbdulRazaq described the late elder statesman as a fearless, yet calm leader who always pursued his causes with superior arguments and personal conviction.

“He will be sorely missed. He was a courageous yet calm man who spoke truth to power. He was forthright and blunt, and his position on issues was always clear,” the Governor stated.

Governor AbdulRazaq extended his heartfelt condolences to the Ohoro of Shao, the entire Shao community, the family of the deceased, and members of the APC in Moro Local Government and Kwara State. He prayed for God to grant them strength and comfort in this difficult time.

The late Chief Wole Oke was a respected statesman whose contributions to politics, governance, and community development will remain a lasting legacy in Kwara State and beyond.
