… AbdulRazaq Honors Democratic Heroes, Pledges Wider Civic Engagement

Nigeria Governors’ Forum Chairman AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq congratulated Nigerians on Democracy Day. He issued the statement on behalf of all state governors.

AbdulRazaq described June 12 as a watershed in national history. He stated the NGF joins President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other stakeholders in honoring heroes and heroines of the democratic struggle.

The Kwara Governor acknowledged appreciable progress during 26 years of unbroken democracy. He noted Nigeria still faces challenges like any nation. The Forum commits to leveraging constructive dialogue and democratic mechanisms for better outcomes.

AbdulRazaq pledged governors will work with the Federal Government, civic organizations, and partners to widen the democratic space. The goal is fostering sustainable peace and inclusive prosperity.
